What Does Contactless Charging Mean for Hearing Aids

The recently released Insio Charge&Go AX hearing aids are the first of its kind with a special feature that enables contactless charging.

This hearing aid is built on Signia's 2021 Augmented Xperience hearing aid platform and has exceptional wireless, bluetooth and streaming capabilities which means to recharge these hearing aids you only have to open up the charging unit and place the hearing aids into their designated compartment of left or right.

No wires or fiddly connections needed.to get them charging and useful again.

This is quite the game charger especially those who are on the move, have busy lives or potentially misplace cables. This provides a much simpler way of charging and is the first of it's kind.

Never Lose Your Hearing Aids Again

The charging unit will also light up with a number of green bars depending on how full and ready to use your hearing aids are. The charging unit also provides that extra protection for your hearing aids and more chance you'll know exactly where you put them in the morning and when you take them off to charge.

Quite simply having contactless charging for hearing aids means it is quite the time saver and makes it much simpler to use than ever before. Eliminating the fiddly use of putting in hearing aid batteries or connecting your hearing aid to cables or even leaving them out on the side.

Which could lead to losing one or both of your hearing aids, here if you have the hearing aid charger, you know the hearing aids will be inside, safe and charging.

What you will need to do is simply make sure your charging unit is plugged into the mains with the USB cable supplied. The USB charging port gives you more options to charge, which means you can charge on the go with a power bank charging device, or in a cars USB charger and so on.

Once you put your hearing aids into the designated slots they will automatically turn off, which will save battery life and mean they also charge quicker too.  You will need to make sure that the faceplate part of the hearing aid is facing up and each are inputted horizontally in to the charging device.

There are three rectangular LED positions that will fill green during charging, one green light will start filling showing you that the hearing aid that it is in front of is charging at 0-33%. Having one solid green light and one filling will mean 34-66% complete and two solid green lights and one filling mean 67-99% complete, all three solid green lights means you've got your hearing aids to 100% charge and are fully charged.

Once they are done and your ready to go again, open the case, take them out and they will automatically turn back on.

More Robust and Hygenic Hearing Aids

One of the biggest gains with contactless hearing aid charging is that of weather sealing and robustness. Because there are no holes, ports or connections to be made, the hearing aids can now be completely sealed from the outside world.

This can stop dirt, dust, water ingress and means that the hearing aids should also last longer.

On top of this, it should be easier to clean them as well, which is an important issue when it comes to hearing aids cleanliness and hygiene.
