Hearing aid description body
ReSound LiNX hearing aids are made for iPhone meaning they will connect directly to your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Because not only is it about streaming voices and videos. It’s also about the more than 700,000 apps in the App StoreSM. Each one with the potential to delight and amaze. Each one streamed directly to ReSound LiNXMaking hearing aids wireless was a brilliant idea. The LiNX is the world’s smartest and first made for iPhone hearing aid. It uses a feature called Binaural Fusion supports the synchronization of volume adjustments and program changes made on one hearing aid to both hearing aids. It also allows for a feature called ‘Comfort Phone’. This is when the telephone ear hearing aid automatically changes to a dedicated phone program whilst the non-telephone ear hearing aid reduces in volume slightly to help you concentrate better whilst still being aware of your environment. In addition this technology allows for a feature called Synchronized Acceptance Manager which gradually, through coordination between hearing aids, increases the sound level over a specified period of time to allow new users of hearing aids the opportunity to adjust and adapt. The LiNX 7 can also analyse and classify 7 listening environment before automatically adjusting the sound level based on that environment to promote better hearing and listening comfort (Environmental Optimiser). The sound level applied automatically per environment can be adjusted and personalised for the wearer. This is assisted by Datalogging which keeps track any manual volume changes made by the wearer in each environment. The LiNX 7 includes GN ReSound’s first frequency compression algorithm called ’Sound Shaper’. This is designed to helps high frequency sounds to be heard and processed effectively by the wearer if they have a severe/profound high frequency hearing loss. It is accomplished by compressing high frequency sounds into a lower frequency range where the wearer’s hearing loss is less severe. Importantly, Sound Shaper only performs this at the high frequencies, leaving the lower frequencies untouched. The LiNX 7 also incorporates the industry’s leading feedback algorithm (DFS Ultra II with Music Mode). This not only helps to reduce annoying whistling from your hearing aids but also preserves the sound quality of music which can sometimes be affected by feedback algorithms. The LiNX 7 is also compatible with GN ReSound’s unique 2.4 GHz wireless accessories such as Unite Mini Microphone, Unite TV Streamer 2, Unite Phone Clip+ and Unite Remote Control 2. Being Made for iPhone the LiNX 7 can connect directly iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch devices without any intermediate devices using 2.4 GHz wireless technology. As a result, this converts the LiNX 7 into wireless stereo headphones so wearers can hear phone conversation and music directly in their hearing aids whilst also providing the wearer with endless benefits and possibilities through the use of Apple Apps and their range of devices. In addition, with a simple Triple Click of the iPhone’s home button it turns the iPhone into a remote microphone, similar to the Unite Mini Microphone. Using this feature, the iPhone can be positioned next to a particular speaker when in a group, given to somebody at the back of the car, or even placed in front of the TV to allow for direct streaming of speech and sound into your hearing aids. Furthermore, the ReSound Smart App, which is available for free download from the Apple App Store, turns the iPhone into a remote control. This allows for volume adjustments, bass/treble tuning, program change and hearing aid mute function to be directly activated via your iPhone or iPad. In addition, it enables the wearer to check the battery status and even find their LiNX 7 hearing aids if they have misplaced/lost it via Geo-tag. Geo-tag also allows wearers to add and save locations when they have made sound quality adjustments and be prompted to use these settings the next time they revisit that location. Finally, the ReSound Smart App provides the wearer with full details of how to maintain, clean and operate their LiNX 7.
