Hopi Candles, ear wax removal solution?

Hopi Candles has been become quite popular in recent years. 

The procedure consists of one end of a cone of a waxed cloth being lit and the other being placed into the recipients ear with the client lying on one side.  To protect the recipient from hot wax or ash the candle can be placed though a paper plate or aluminum tin. It is claimed the flame creatures negative pressure drawing wax and debris out of ear canal.

Unfortuantely there is has been little evidence to suggest this procedure is successful. Infact candling offers several dangers  due to using If you are to attempt this procedure instead of having wax removed by a medical proffesional 

Ear wax naturally moves along the canal making its way out of your ear. If wax is to get compacted, you should look to have wax removed by an approriate medical proffesional recommended by your GP, or by an accredited proffesional.
